The Position: As a Sports Reporter/Multimedia Journalist for 9&10 News, you will be responsible for creating content for the sports department on air and on our website, www.misportsnow.com. You will be asked to produce and anchor sportscasts, cover local stories and games, produce on-air content and write stories for our website. You will also participate in our OTT content, where we live stream games and other sporting events around northern Michigan with an opportunity to call live play-by-play.

Responsibilities:
- Produce and anchor sportscasts when asked
- Cover feature stories and shoot games in northern Michigan that will help boost our on-air and online content
- Write and post web stories for any local content covered along with breaking news stories
- Must be available on Friday nights in the fall and winter to work on our award-winning high school football and basketball show, Sports Overtime
- Post on all social media platforms for any stories and games covered
- Engage in our OTT content, which includes live streams of games and events
- Provide story ideas that will help enhance our coverage in northern Michigan
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of journalism or broadcasting with experience in sports
- Successful internship at either a commercial TV station or a cable access channel strongly preferred
- At least 1 year of experience as a reporter or producer at a commercial TV station preferred
- Experience editing on Premiere and producing in iNews is a plus
- AP Style experience is preferred
- On-air experience in studio and in the field is a plus
- Must have excellent writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work different shifts during the week and weekends, if necessary
- Must work well in a team environment
- Must have valid driver license.
