Youth softball

Concord Northeast’s Local Baskit defeated Bow Classic Carpentry in Cap Area Majors softball. Abbie Vlacich threw four perfect innings, striking out 14, for Local Baskit. Anna Leon pitched two strong innings of relief. Annabelle Norwalt and Katie Lavoie both scored in a great team effort. Anna Zerba and Brindle Whittaker did a great job pitching and catching for Bow.

Youth baseball

The Associated Grocers defeated Granite State Glass, 7-5, in a AAA Concord Little League game behind the strong pitching of Emmett Barker and Adam Morgan. The AG offense was led by the hitting of Ben Ireland and Patrick Fennessy. Granite State Glass was led by the pitching of Harrison Beecher and Henry Bowman and the outstanding fielding of Michael Fuller.

■London Youth Athletic Association’s Brookside Pizza’s major’s baseball team opened the season with a 14-0 win over the Alton Red Sox. Loudon had some big hits by David Ostrowski, Logan McCullen and Matthew Herman. Isaac Hall and McCullen had great pitching performances.

Youth lacrosse

The Hopkinton 14U girls’ lacrosse team defeated Laconia, 8-4. Ava Burns, Maeve Owens, Sydney Westover and Madi Zahn scored two goals each for Hopkinton. Zahn also had two assists, while Sofia Upton and Amelia Walsh each had one. Anika Hudak-Hall made eight saves in net. Marcella Guadagno and Helen Yeaton were strong in the midfield.
